Visiting Bristol

Accommodation

Please download the IMPACT accomodation list to view our recommendations for places to stay during the conference. The IBIS and Mercure Hotels are listed at the top, and IMPACT have arranged with them a delegate rate. Please ensure you quote the relevant code when booking to be eligible for the IMPACT rate. There are alternative places to stay including hotels, bed and breakfasts, as well as serviced apartments suited to small groups. Please ensure you read the booking terms, as IMPACT cannot take responsibity for, or assist with accomodation bookings.

Eating and Drinking Title

Please download the IMPACT guide to bars and restaurants to view our recommendations for places to eat and drink, during the day and evening (also available below for browsing online). Bristol has a huge variety of eating cafes, bars and restaurants, and so you may find that all you have to do is follow your nose! If you are keen to book ahead to ensure a table at some of the places listed, then all details are included. You would be advised to consider your arrangements for lunch on THURSDAY 17th SEPTEMBER, in the centre of town, as IMPACT will not be offering lunch options. If you are likely to want more than a take-away sandwich, we advise booking a table locally to the Council house (Park Street and Harbourside restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk) , so that you do not miss the start of the afternoon panels.

This guide will be included in your delegate pack at the conference, but web links are included if you are keen to investigate your options ahead of the event.

Friday and Saturday Lunches Title

If you have not pre booked your lunch for Friday 18th and Saturday 19th, please be aware that there are very limited options available to you at the Bower Ashton Campus. The UWE canteen will be offering a limited service. The Ashton Court cafe (up the hill from the campus, past the deer park) will be open and offering sandwiches and basic lunches. There will be some packed lunches available to buy at Bower Ashton.

There will be food available at Bower ashton to buy for Friday evening, in the form of Pieminister Pies. Please ensure you pre-book and pay for these upon registration on Wednesday 16th September.

There is no cash point available at Bower Ashton, so please ensure you bring any cash you may want to spend at the bar, or on available food with you, as credit cards are not accepted.

BANQUET TICKETS WILL STILL BE AVAILABLE TO BUY UPON REGISTRATION (CASH OR CHEQUE ONLY) BUT BOOK NOW ONLINE TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT
