Lucrecia Urbano was born in Córdoba, Argentina, in 1968. She received her BFA at the Nacional University of Córdoba, Argentina, with a major in printmaking. She had internship experience with Non-toxic Printmaking techniques: Silicone Intaglio, photopolymers and handmade paper in Pyramid Atlantic, Baltimore, Maryland in May 1996 - February 1997.
She had her Master Workshop in Non-toxic Printmaking at the Canadian School for Non-toxic Printmaking in July 1998. She founded and directs Zona Imaginaria, a contemporary printamaking studio and she also developed the international residence project, ¿who can live in this house? She curated several projects as; Poste-Puente Project, Centre of Brazilian Studies (2007); Besando Ranas, Borges Cultural Center; Galeria del Poste del Rojas, Ricardo Rojas Cultural Centre National University of Buenos Aires (2005-2006); ABC-Gráfica Actual, International exchange project Argentina, Brazil and Canada (2000-2003)
Her work is defined by the research and application of combined techniques: non-toxic printmaking, photography, video, digital prints, glass and installations, among others. She has participated in national and international group exhibitions, such as ID International – Art Basel Miami, USA (2004); Estampa International Print Fair, Madrid (2002); 12th Tallin Graphic Triennial, Estonia (2001), and Trilingue ABC Gráfica Actual, Brazil and Canada (2000-2003). 
She has also had solo shows in Argentina, Brazil, Cuba and Estonia. Major awards and fellowships include: HP - Perpetual Portfolio fellowship, University of the West of England, Bristol, Inglaterra (2003); Honor Diploma in the 12th Tallin Graphic Triennial, Tallin, Estonia (2002); fellowship at the Ludwig Foundation, Cuba (2001); and she has been a resident artist at the Atelier Presse Papier, Quebec, Canada (2001).
Papers and panels stamp
