Carl Rowe studied Fine Art (Printmaking) at Manchester Polytechnic, graduating with an MA in Fine Art in 1985. Since 2001 he has worked at Norwich University College of the Arts where he is currently Course Leader for BA Honours Fine Art. His practice is multimedia with recent projects including: ‘Ready-Steady-Marinetti’, an Internet broadcast performance for Oliver Cromwell Televisuals, Outpost Gallery/CAN Norwich (2007), ‘209 shorts’, 209 Radio Cambridge (2007), ‘Cook Books’, performance, Tokyo, Japan (2009) and ‘Bad Stock’, performance and installation for ‘Feast’, group show at STEW gallery, Norwich (2009). His screen prints have recently been exhibited in the Wrexham Print International, UK, Egyptian International Print Triennial, Cairo and Guanlan Print Biennial, Shenzen, China. He has also produced a number of multiples for various projects including: Hayvend vending machines www.hayvend.com, ‘Context’, (printed multiple) published by Outpost Gallery for ‘Publish and be Damned’ and ‘Dislocation’, Visions Gallery, Tokyo, Japan. Video works have recently been shown in Aurora International Film Festival.
