Richard Anderton (MA RCA, RWA) is Principal Lecturer and Programme Leader for the MA Printmaking Degree.

He studied at the Royal College of Art. His creative practice is the production of artifacts, using print as the primary media, which is inspired by the mythological and supernatural creature. His interest involves the historical interpretation of the natural world and the phenomena of the fantastic animal through art and literature and man's interpretation of the fantastic animal throughout history. Innovative print plays an important role in the production of these images. The relationship between traditional print techniques and modern industrial processes are an important element in his research. The processes enable a novel element to be incorporated into the imagery, which is often obtainable using traditional methods.

Richard has been involved in numerous print projects in connection with the CFPR and has exhibited his work nationally and internationally.
